to complex course material. As a practicing communications engineer, I face some unique challenges in deploying fiber optic solutions in challenging environments. Although I was already familiar with fiber optic theory and part specifications, Dr. Goodwin's CFOT and AFOT classes were a tremendous learning experience for me. Dr. Goodwin taught hands-on skills in fiber optic termination and splicing as well as post- installation test techniques that will serve me well on future fiber optic design/install/test projects.
